LFS serves children who are in foster care or those who have experienced sexual abuse, persons with severe and persistent mental illness, substance use issues, and veterans. LFS is the largest refugee resettlement organization in Nebraska and in 2025, marks 50 years of one-on-one guidance as former refugees embrace self-sufficiency. LFS staff members do their work with moral courage, integrity, responsiveness, empowerment, and joy.
