Any organization or individual can become a NAM member according to membership categories:

  • Nonprofits, foundations and government agencies are eligible for the full scope of member benefits.
  • Staff, board members, and key volunteers have access to all their organization's benefits.
  • Students enrolled in a college or university pursuing an academic degree, join as a Student Member. 
  • Job seekers in the nonprofit sector, join as a Career Builder.
  • Individuals interested in supporting capacity building work for local nonprofits, join as a Sustaining Member
  • If your business is dedicated to providing services to the nonprofit sector, join as a Business Partner. 
  • Absolutely! Staff, board members and key volunteers have access to all of your organization's benefits.
  • It is the responsibility of your organization's admin member to ensure that only authorized personnel are granted access.
  • Log in to your account and visit Member Compass. Manage your membership and all online payments within the "Pay Balance" section.

Visit the NAM Store for event tickets, content purchases and to rent NAM's conference room.

  • Member Rates – Members must log into their NAM account prior to registering to receive the member price. Refunds will not be given for failure to log into member account.
  • Payments Accepted – Credit card,  ACH or check. Payments are due at time of checkout and prior to event.
  • Refunds – Within four days of the event,  refunds may not be available. To request a refund more than four days prior, contact us.
  • Registrant substitutions may be available outside of the cancellation and refund window. Contact us to substitute a registrant.
  • The refund process is labor-intensive and costly, so please check each event prior to registering for restrictions, timelines and policies. 
  • Downloadable Content – For purchases with downloadable links, such as the Salary & Benefits Survey or the Executive Transition Toolkit, no refund will be given. If you made an electronic purchase and did not receive it, check your spam or junk folder. Contact us for troubleshooting.
Members can reserve the NAM Training Room for a board meeting or small event during business hours.
  • Rental is FREE for member events up to 2 hours (+ 30-min setup).
  • Extra time and non-member rentals are available for an additional cost.
  • Review room details and rental policies before adding room rental to your cart.

Yes! Add your event to the Community Calendar

  • Submit your event for posting consideration.
  • Posting policy: Community Calendar postings are free for all NAM nonprofit organizational members.  NAM reserves the right to modify and/or remove postings. If your event posting is removed, you may contact NAM to determine the reason for removal.  This calendar is for our service area events only. Our definition of "event" means it's held at a physical location or a virtual gathering for professional or educational purposes. "Deadlines" (not meeting "event" definition) are not appropriate for this calendar. Do not submit commercial or public events where the nonprofit community is not intended to be the majority in attendance.  Any information posted on the calendar is considered public information.
