Professional Bio

An educational leader in public and private schools in Omaha., Dr. Rivers possesses skills in engaging learners, supporting families, cultural proficiency training, staff development, and communicating across all demographics. She also has additional skills in strategic planning, marketing, communications, community building, and facilitation.
Dr. Rivers exemplifies dedication, resiliency, creativity, ethical leadership, and content-writing skills. She is known for her curriculum writing expertise and integration and application of social-emotional and cultural proficiency into teaching all subjects and age groups.

In addition to Everyday Science and Science Support, Dr. Rivers serves on local community nonprofit boards; WhyArts and Omaha STEM Ecosystem. Her expertise in applying principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion provide community-wide support and advocacy.

She graduated from Creighton University with a Masters’ of Science Degree in Administration and Supervision K-8. She also has degrees from University of Nebraska at Omaha; Bachelors in Elementary Education K-6 and Educational Doctorate in Superintendency and Administration and Supervision K-12.

Dr. Rivers is a prolific and accomplished author in both fiction and nonfiction genres. She has publications in the educational field as well as poetic and autobiographical fields.
