Professional Bio

Elizabeth assumed her duties as the Administrator of the Omaha Police Foundation (OPF) in 2006. She handles all day-to-day operations of the OPF. These include managing the Board of Directors, working with the bookkeeper and accountant to oversee all income and expenses and writing all checks and submitting them to the Board President for signature. She also manages all marketing and website updates, fundraising and donor relations. In addition, Ms. Balazs coordinates all aspects of the annual Officer of the Year Awards Luncheon which serves as the fundraiser for annual operating expenses.

With nearly 40 years in various business positions, Elizabeth has worked with major national organizations including the Fiesta Bowl and Grand Prix Association of Long Beach. Over her 30 -year career at Vic Gutman & Associates, she managed a wide range of projects including the Omaha Summer Arts Festival for 27 years. Elizabeth served as Vice President for 15 years assisting with administrative duties including HR, special projects and company planning. She worked on most of VGA's major projects including the development, implementation and management of Omaha 15O!, Detroit 300, Zoofari '07, ARTsarben, Mutual of Omaha's Wild About Omaha Weekend and Girl’s Inc.’s annual Lunch for the Girls.

Ms. Balazs graduated with a BS in Marketing from Arizona State University and has pursued a BA in Secondary Education, as well as an MA in Communication from University of Nebraska Omaha.
