Professional Bio

Currently employed with the Urban League of Nebraska as the VP of HR, primarily responsible for fostering a culture of inclusivity & ensuring compliance with employment laws regulations. Oversees all aspects of HR Management, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training/development, compensation & benefits, & HR policy development. Also served as VP of Operations/CFO, accountable for planning, organizing, and controlling the financial affairs of the organization to ensure financial soundness. Selected as an Inclusive Communities LeadDIVERSITY Cohort 5 Advocate for the 2023-24 year, as well as a Chamber of Commerce Leadership Omaha Class #45 Ambassador for the 2022-23 year. Was previously employed by Nebraska Enterprise Fund as a Business Loan Officer from the fall of 2010 until the fall of 2012. Served as the Chief Operations Officer for NeighborWorks Omaha, an affiliate of NeighborWorks America. Owned a consulting business (Friends-R-Us Network LLC) that provided financial literacy & organizational effectiveness training programs to non-profits in the Omaha area. Originally from the Cincinnati, Ohio but spent collegiate years & early professional career in New Orleans, Louisiana prior to coming to Omaha. My training and organizational effectiveness background extends across twenty-five plus years as a HR Director/Manager, Safety Manager, "OE" Training Manager, & Gainsharing Specialist for organizations including Procter and Gamble, The Omaha Head Start Program, The Dial Corp, and PayPal, an eBay Company.
