Brenda VanLengen, an Emmy Award-winning broadcaster, has been a prominent women's college basketball analyst for ESPN since 1996 and a play-by-play announcer since 2010, covering major conferences like the SEC, Big 12, and Big Ten. She created and is currently the executive producer for the documentary series "If Not For Them," exploring the origins of college women's sports through the lens of basketball.

Known for her expertise in analyzing the game, VanLengen operated the ART telestrator for the NCAA Women’s Final Four (2005-2020) and WNBA Finals (2011-2018). Additionally, she has called seven NCAA Division II and three NAIA National Championships and covered sports such as NCAA softball, volleyball, and soccer. Beyond broadcasting, VanLengen has a diverse background, including coaching basketball at the University of Nebraska, leading PE4life, a national non-profit, and serving as executive director for the 1998 NCAA Women’s Final Four in Kansas City. She has been recognized with several awards, including the Mel Greenberg National Media Award and Distinguished Alumnae of the University of Nebraska-Kearney in addition to serving as a panelist for the Emmy-winning "Title IX: 50 Years in the Making" and contributing to Fox Sports Midwest’s Emmy-winning production of the 2009 WEPAC All-Star Charity basketball game. She resides in Olathe, Kansas, with her wife, Capri Hales
